The high-flying winged X-Man codenamed Angel is actually Warren Worthington III, wealthy heir to an industrial fortune. Gifted with mutant wings that let him soar thousands of feet in the air at unbelievable speeds, Angel dedicated himself to fighting evil even before he joined the X-Men. Though he sometimes still hides behind the facade of a rich playboy, his true nature is revealed whenever he uses his powers to fight for Professor Xavier's dream of peaceful coexistence between man and mutant.
