Broadcasting from the roof of a skyscraper, Electro threatens to destroy New York's power supply unless his ransom demands are met. Revealing his energy siphoning machine for all the city to see. Electro draws the attention of Spider-Man as well as the Avengers. Leaving to collect his ransom money, Electro is halted by the arrival of Spider-Man and the legendary Avenger, Captain America. Realizing that there is no escape, Electro jumps back and activates his machine and prepares for battle.
