In a desperated [sic] bid to regenerate his amputated arm, Dr. Curtis Connors injected himself with an experimental, reptile-based formula. The serum accomplished its aim, but at the expense of Connors' humanity. The scientist stood transformed into the retile-human hybrid called the Lizard.
